Pankaj Guglani joined The Danceworx in 2001. He is trained in Jazz, Contemporary, and Classical Ballet. He has also done training workshops in Chau Folk Dance, Yoga, Hip-hop, Latin Ballroom, Gyrotonics, Pilates, Choreography Composition and Contact Improvisation.
He has attended the Composition of Choreography Workshop at the Fondation Royaumont, France (2005 & 2006) with Susan Buirge on a scholarship from the French embassy.
Pankaj has an extensive performing resume. He has danced in various pieces of The Danceworx Student Repertory Company repertoire, choreographed by Indian and International choreographers. And he has performed extensively for stage, film and television.
Theatrical performances in India include: The Cascade Project (2012), The Chrysalis Project (2011), Out of Sight (2008), Salaam India (2008), The Box (Kala Ghoda Arts Festival 2006), About Nothing (2003), and That's Dancing! (2001).
His international performances include: Fontys Dance Festival, The Netherlands (2007 & 2008), and the Choreographic Improvisation & Composition Workshop, France (2005 & 2006) Performances at major events include: 1000 Day Countdown to Commonwealth Games XIX (2008), International Film Festival of India opening ceremony (2006), Tribute to R.D. Burman, musical concert with Shankar, Ehsaan & Loy in Goa (2006), Commonwealth Games XVIII Queen's Baton Relay (2005), Bhartiya Pravasi Milan (2004), The Taj Mahal Hotel Centenary Celebration (2003), United for Gujarat Concert (2001), Jesu Krist Jayanti (2000) and The Republic Day Parade, New Delhi for The Ministry of Textiles (2000).
His film performances include: Aisha (director Rajshree Ojha, choreographer Ashley Lobo), Dhoom (director Sanjay Gadhvi, choreographer Ashley Lobo) and Socha Na Tha (director Imtiaz Ali, choreographer Ashley Lobo).
Pankaj is an experienced choreographer, and has choreographed extensively for stage.
He is the co-choreographer for JHUMROO, Kingdom of Dreams production, which recently completed over 300 shows.

Pankaj has also choreographed corporate events for companies such as the Modi Group, Maruti-Suzuki, Tata Motors, HBO, HSBC, Fiat, Nissan, Marico, Alembic, Castrol, etc.

His future plans are to create a repertory company along international standards... for the evolution of dance and to change the perception of dance. Dancers and choreographers will have an opportunity to work at a professional level and have a career like a true artist. The focus of the company will be to be unique and authentic in whatever it does.
